Quando Jean-Marc Montera è stato invitato a suonare per la rassegna musicale "Solo per Lelio" ed ha saputo che Thollem McDonas sarebbe stato a Palermo ha subito suggerito l’idea di suonare insieme al musicista di origini californiane. Il loro primo ed unico (ad oggi) incontro non poteva che offrire uno spazio di ricerca e di azione musicale sorprendente, sviluppando una grande sensibilità verso i percorsi di confine tra diversi contesti e linguaggi della musica: dal jazz, al rock, passando per la musica contemporanea e l’improvvisazione radicale.

When Jean-Marc Montera was invited to play for the music cycle "Solo per Lelio" and learned that Thollem McDonas would also be in Palermo, he suggested the idea of playing together with the nomadic musician. This first encounter offered a unique space for research and stunning musical action. In this recording we hear the intention of the artists to explore and stretch the boundaries through different contexts of musical languages: from jazz to rock passing through contemporary music and radical improvisation.
